When it comes to selecting a probiotic you want to look at potency, specific beneficial bacterial strains and a quality manufacturing process. It is also vital to ensure that there are no additives that interfere with the restoration of your your gut flora.

Our preferred probiotic is Smidge® Sensitive Probiotics™ made by Smidge®.  Smidge® Sensitive Probiotics™ contains the most beneficial and human compatible strains for our gut microbiome, each of which is backed by clinical research. Their custom probiotic formula is one of the most highly potent available with 25+bn CFU’s per serving. But it’s not just what goes into Smidge® Sensitive Probiotics that matters, what they leave out is just as important. Smidge® Sensitive Probiotics contains no additives or bacterial strains that might cause a reaction in sensitive people.

Smidge® probiotic formulations are manufactured and packaged at a premium standard facility, where filtered air systems and a humidity and temperature controlled environment help ensure product stability and purity.  Probiotics are sensitive to handling, transport and storage. Smidge® Sensitive Probiotics is subjected to a rigorous testing program to monitor stability throughout the manufacturing and delivery process so that you receive all of the beneficial gut bacteria, and nothing else.

Certain strains found in other probiotics that can cause acidosis, histamine and other adverse reactions are not present in Smidge® Sensitive Probiotics. Who should take Smidge® Sensitive Probiotics?

Smidge® Sensitive Probiotics is recommended for the majority of our clients.  Even those with really sensitive digestive systems should be able to start on a low dosage and build up gradually.  However someone who has a particularly compromised system could begin with Smidge® Sensitive Probiotics Infant. Once you’ve been on Smidge® Sensitive Probiotics for a few months consider shifting to Smidge® - Probiotic Capsules (formerly Primal Gut™) to add in additional species that can be tolerated once you have a good base level of gut flora.

Taking care of your Smidge® Sensitive Probiotics.

We suggest opting for the chilled packaging option at checkout so that your Smidge® Sensitive Probiotics arrives in the best possible condition. Smidge® Sensitive Probiotics is freeze-dried and should be refrigerated upon receipt - we advise keeping Smidge® Sensitive Probiotics in the fridge below 5℃. Please leave the dessicant in the bottle to avoid the build up of any unwanted moisture in the bottle.

How do I take Smidge® Sensitive Probiotics?

Like all supplements, start on the very lowest dose and build up slowly. This product is potent and very condensed, so it can have powerful effects on more pathogenic species within your gut.  Ideally take Smidge® Sensitive Probiotics first thing in the morning with a small amount of water 15-30 mins before eating.
